What is the difference between a Registered Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
A Registered Dietitian is qualified to provide nutrition advice and treat specific health conditions. To become a Registered Dietitian, you must:
Have at least a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Complete 1,200 hours of supervised practice through an approved program from the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
Pass a national exam
Obtain approved continuing education credits to maintain registration
A nutritionist requires no official education or certification and is not qualified to treat specific health conditions. Some professionals may use the term ‘nutritionist’ without obtaining any formal certifications or training.
Do you accept insurance?
Not yet. We hope to accept insurance in the near future.
We do, however, accept HSA cards!
